    Book Releases: November 2021

If you thought that the releases were slowing down as the year comes to a close, you would be wrong because today I have for you, 138 more releases for November! Okay, so I went through a few more lists with the intention of just double-checking that all the dates were right after a series of delays, and came out with… oh, just another 50 books. But hey! That just gives you another 138 books to look forward to in 2021!

Book Releases: Twitter’s Anticipated Releases, Or A Look at What 2022 Has in Store

In my humble opinion, today’s post is the most exciting post we have this month. A while ago on twitter (a while because I got impatient and didn’t want to wait), we asked the question: what are your most anticipated 2022 LGBT releases. And, lo and behold, here they are, all in a post, so you can get excited about what’s to come! (And obviously, get a few preorders in, since we are hitting somewhat of a crisis.)

We also did this last year, if you remember, so you can check that out, and see how much the list has grown (66 books on that post—but 2 delayed—vs. 120 on this), and also have a look to see how many you’ve read!

Finally, a little key (bearing in mind that it’s a little hard to confirm rep so far out & some we think might be gay, but only based on an author’s previous output):

    🧡 = sapphic rep
    💛 = achillean rep
💙 = trans or nonbinary rep
💚 = other or unknown rep

Book Releases: 2021 Middle Grade & Picture Books

Today’s post is a new addition to our myriad of releases posts! If you’re looking for books for age groups younger than young adult, perhaps even for small children, then trust me, this is exactly what you’ve been waiting for. A round-up of all the middle grade and picture book releases of 2021! It’s a little delayed, it’s true, partly because we decided to do this post on a whim, but it’s here! And there’s so many exciting books on offer!

    Book Releases: October 2021

We’re nearing the end of the year, which means it’s probably the last post this long. Over 100 LGBT books, my guys! Remember to preorder whatever you want to read, given the current publishing situation, too.

Anyway, my apologies in advance if any books are wrongly categorised – let me know & I can fix it. And as per usual, you can find all our previous releases posts here & the rainbow emoji indicates an author who id’s as LGBT.

    Book Releases: September 2021

If you know publishing in any capacity, you probably know September is one of the biggest months in terms of output. Which means, after June (for obvious reasons), it’s the gayest month too, proven by the fact that there are over 125 books due out in this month (apologies to your wallets in advance). So, without further ado, let’s get going!

Book Releases: 2019 Books With Non-Cis Protagonists

Here’s another compilation post about trans & nonbinary books that all came out in one year. This time the year is 2019. Sometimes you just gotta go back in time, right?

Like always, I decided to only feature books with main characters or love interests who aren’t cis. (Or really important side characters, like parents). Of course, it’s not just YA, there are adult books on this list as well. And it absolutely is not all one genre.

For this post in particular, I’m sure I have missed some books. Please leave a comment, if you know of any books I should add! And as always, books by LGBT authors have a rainbow emoji next to the title.

Book Releases: Ownvoices M/M books of July-December 2021

Specific labels may vary but all the books in this post have achillean main characters & are written by achillean authors. This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t be reading m/m books which aren’t, roughly speaking, ownvoices. Rather, a place to celebrate the few that are.

Of course, I’m only human, so if you spot any mistakes or missing titles, let me know!

    Book Releases: August 2021

What do you guys think of our new layout for these posts? We do hope it’s easier to browse when books are at least roughly divided into categories! And when you have around 80 books in one place, it sure does that a while to look through them all…

Book Releases: July-December 2021 Books With Bi Protagonists

A companion post to the one from the beginning of the year. Over 100 books with canon bisexual and/or pansexual protagonists. Or love interests. Or really major side characters.

My guidelines for choosing books to include in this post were pretty simple: either a character just uses the label or the text makes it abundantly clear that they’re bi/pan. (As you can imagine, not a lot of fantasy or historical books use modern labels.) If I missed anything that you think should be on the list, please let me know in the comments!

Like always on this blog, the rainbow emoji indicates that the book is by an LGBT author. 🌈

Book Releases: 2021 Sapphic Releases (July to December)

Hopefully July is treating you all well so far (I’m sat here, watching torrential rain)! Today’s post is one that, with luck, you’ve all been anticipating. Anna posted about YA releases on Friday, and now I’m posting about the sapphic releases of the second half of 2021 (bi releases will be up in a few days too, so keep an eye out!). Not all of these have sapphic main characters, but they do feature (to the best of my knowledge) somewhat prominent sapphic characters at least.

You can, of course, find January to June’s releases here.

Undoubtedly I have missed books (we all know that, as soon as I post this, there’ll be five more to add, minimum), so I’ll be checking back on the post pretty regularly to add more.

Book Releases: LGBT YA Books of July-December 2021

Hopefully I got y’all used to those YA posts enough that you were actually waiting for this one. If not, just don’t tell me. But if yes, sorry for the wait and enjoy! There are over 105 LGBT YA books here, surely you will find at least a dozen or two to fall in love with.

And like always, a rainbow emoji indicates that the book is by an LGBT author.

    Book Releases: July 2021

It’s the end of June, which means that it’s that time again! Sadly, unlike the past couple of months, July’s releases don’t break 100 (or sort of gladly, if you’re me, and having to write up the post), but there are some truly exciting releases here.

Also exciting is our new layout for the posts! Instead of just giving you a long list with dates, we’ve split the list into genres, so you can just search for whichever genre you want to read. (And see just how few there are for some… 😒)

As ever, you can find all our previous releases posts here and the rainbow emoji indicates an author who id’s as LGBT.

    Book Releases: June 2021

If you think that a lot more LGBT books come out during Pride than all the other months, you would be correct! And this post is a real-life proof. Took days to prepare, but here we are: 166 LGBT books out this June!

And yes, you read that right: one hundred and sixty six. Surely, you will find something for yourself here.

As always, a rainbow emoji next to the title indicates the author is part of the LGBT community – if I made any mistakes here, please do correct me. And if you need some more books, you can find all our previous monthly releases posts here.

Book Releases: Ownvoices M/M books of January-June 2021

Well, actually… the term ownvoices here is used very liberally. By that I mean you will find below books with gay main characters written by gay authors but sometimes it will be for example books with gay characters written by bi authors.

Generally, though, novels with mlm characters by mlm authors. Achillean books by achillean authors, if you will. So while the label might not always 100% match between the author and the character, those are still books written by people who understand the experience.

This is also why I opted out of using the rainbow emoji – everyone would get one anyways.
