When writing this post, both me and Anna thought to ourselves that we could have sworn it was longer since we read certain books. Which probably sums up May as a whole, really.
Anna had a generally positive reading month, meanwhile I read some great books, but also suffered through some really really shit ones. About the usual then, really.

Since you’re here, please consider doing any number of the following to support Black Lives Matter, and the protests regarding police brutality in the USA.
Donate to bail funds and supplies for protestors, gofundmes of victims of police violence, mutual aid organisations and Black-owned businesses impacted by the violence.
You can donate even if you have no funds by watching videos where all ad revenue will go towards the BLM movement.
Sign petitions.
Get in contact with mayors and district attorneys, and maintain pressure on them.
Educate yourself further through the resources found on the carrd and others.
Pride was initiated following riots against police violence and raids, and those at Stonewall Inn were led by trans and lesbian women of colour, many of whom were Black. We owe them our support.

I have a lot of these books on my TBR (plus the four profound weaves that I’m currently reading) and i’ve also watched she-ra and the half of it this past month! I’m glad you both found some nice reads even with a few bad ones. I think adding podcasts to the wrap up is great, i really want to get into them once i stop being scared of them.

with podcasts, i think it’s a matter of finding a format and style that works for you! i found that i preferred ones that were 15-20 minute episodes, and had an interesting format (e.g. radio show style or case files). and obviously actors you can stand (the one i gave up on, i did so because i couldn’t stand one of the actors’ voice).

Reading wise, mine had been worst. I didn’t read anything at all. So hopefully I’ll be able to this June! But on a positive note, I’ve been watching movies a lot and The Thing About Harry was one of them! It’s the one movie that I truly enjoyed watching after my bout of depression so it holds a special place in my heart. I watched Ek Ladki as well and remember bawling my eyes out during the father scene near the end.
