After a lot of discussion over just what should be our book of month for April, we finally decided*. But because there was such strife, let me mention the book that lost out (look, Anna, you can never again say I give you nothing): The Sky Blues, which Anna loves and for which our reviews will be coming next month!
And now that’s done, onto our actual book of the month.

I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that our book of the month for February is also one of my favourite sapphic contemporaries ever and I twisted Anna’s arm just a little to make sure we featured it. I read an ARC of this late last year and I’ve been thinking about it ever since.
So, if you’re looking for a book to preorder for March, let me suggest you do so this one (with the caveat that it’s not really a suggestion). But if you do need more reasons, you’ll find them in this post.

Today’s post is our, slightly delayed, book of the month announcement! This time, we’ve chosen Me, My Dad and the End of the Rainbow, a children’s-slash-middle-grade book about a kid who just wants to make his dad happy, so he sets off to Pride in order to do that. If you want a book that will make you feel happy and full of love, this is the book for you.

If you want something a little more light-hearted to read this or next month, perhaps some middle grade lit, perhaps featuring a trans mc, then look no further than our December book of the month! And to make it even better, the book featured here is a sequel, so you can get on the first book right away, just in time for the next one in January. And you can support a self-published author.

It’s been a little while since we featured a sapphic book on our book of the month feature, but this month’s is just that! I (Charlotte) have read this book and adored it, so I can’t recommend highly enough that you preorder it. (You can also read some of the other works by this author in the meantime, which are also not straight so…)

After going slightly rogue last month and picking three books of the month, for September we’re back to usual, with just a single book. We had no trouble looking through our releases list and choosing this one because, in all honesty, it’s one we’re incredibly excited for.

This month’s feature is a little different, in that, both me and Anna looked at our releases list, and couldn’t decide which book to pick, since there were three books we thought, hey we’ve not seen that talked about very much. And we definitely hadn’t seen them being talked about as being gay.
Hence why this post contains not one but three books.
It’s a new month, which means a new book of the month! As ever, there were so many potential books to choose from, so, if you want to see what we sadly couldn’t choose, keep an eye out for our August releases post later in the month.
That said, here is what we did choose. And hopefully it’s introducing you to a whole new book!
It’s time for our book of the month feature again, and this month that book is a collection of mythological short stories! First though, a disclaimer. This is shelved on the big rainforest-named site we do not mentioned as bisexual and gay/lesbian, and that information comes direct from publishers’ metadata. So it’s probably correct.
Only there are no reviews of the book to confirm or deny this. So if we’re wrong here, please pretend you didn’t see.
But it sounds an amazing book nonetheless, and one we can’t wait to read come August!
Our newest feature is back today! Last month we highlighted Clap When You Land as our book of the month (it’s out tomorrow but there’s still time to preorder!). This month, we’ve selected a June release to bring to your attention.

Big news this month, as we’ve decided to scrap the book club (which, really, was just a series of failed buddy reads), and replace it with something new. A Book of the Month feature!
This, honestly, is in part because of how uncertain everything is right now. We want to use this middling-size platform we have to highlight some upcoming (or backlist at times) books that have, perhaps, gone under the radar (or, simply, people don’t realise are gay).
So, here’s how it’ll go. Each month we’ll post here and on twitter with information about the book, and order links. And hopefully raise your awareness of another amazing book!
